Red Hair for the Winter

Red is one of the most high maintenance hair colours you can possibly choose. This is largely because the hair follicles do not absorb colour very well, meaning that the colour will begin to come out in just a few short washes. However, if you do still decide that you would like red hair, winter is by far the best time to do it. This is because you won’t be getting too much damage from sun, which would fade your hair.

You may also be less likely to use heat styling products in winter when the weather is bad and you are going to be choosing a style like curls and waves instead, that are more weatherproof. This will help to make your red hair last longer.

Use the right products as well, and you will be able to make your red hair look great for as long as possible. Use nourishing shampoos and conditioners.
